This year is seems like Christmas is just coming so fast and there doesn’t seem to be enough time to do all the decorating and shopping. A bit overwhelming for me, so this year I’ve decided to keep it simple, minimalist almost.
I kept some of the same elements on my dining room table that I had for my Autumn decor. The table linens, books, pumpkins and candle holder all stayed and I brought in some other lanterns from my collection and some vintage pieces. This little ceramic jug with holly on it is a Goodwill find. Love the pop of color it has and works perfectly on the table.
A little tin pitcher with a sprig of Christmas flowers and fancy add more color at this end of the table. I am a lover of burlap and lace, especially when they are together.
This rustic lantern is perfect on top of some old books and a doily.
The color on this lantern is wonderful when the light hits it. In the morning from the sun coming from the window and in the evening with the light from a nearby lamp. Another Goodwill rescue for only $1.00!
I use to make upcycled cake plates and decorative plate flowers when I first started my business. This small dessert plate is one of the pieces I kept for myself. As you can see I kept the decoupaged pumpkins, these pieces work all through the holidays.
The evening light from the lamp really makes the lantern glow. The tarnished silver jug was a recent purchase from a thrift store.
Hope you enjoyed my simple Christmas table.
I’ll be sharing some more art later this week. I’ve been working on some new things for the new year and I’m looking forward to sharing them with you.
