House plants were so popular in the ’70’s and then they seem to disappear. But, now they’ve made a come back and are more popular than ever. But, what are some ways that you can integrate your house plants into your home decor?
In this post I’m sharing with you some methods I use and some I found inspirational on Pinterest. If you don’t have room on shelving because of books or collectibles, then use the space above.
This metal rod suspended by hooks easily holds 4-6 hanging plants and doesn’t take up any room on the floor or shelves.
But, maybe you live in an apartment or are not able to drill into the ceiling? This clothes rack can serve the same purpose and you can even find one with wheels so you can move it around.
If you have an empty wall for plants but don’t want to use the traditional shelves, then think outside of the box with this wood trellis! You can DIY this in a weekend and add as many plants as you want.
The wall going up a staircase is traditionally decorated with paintings or family photos. But with these wood hangers you can incorporate macrame hangers and lovely trailing plants.
Real house plants not enough for you? How about some pillows and wallpaper with foliage? It might be a bit extreme, but it’s a great boho look that’s very popular now.
If you would like to group your plant together, trying placing them in odd numbers (3, 5 pots) and vary them in height.
As you can see there are so many ways to incorporate your house plants into your home decor. Use your imagination and let it reflect who you are.
I hope you enjoyed this post and found it inspirational. If you would like more ideas please visit my house plants Pinterest board.
