I’ve been wanting to get a head or face planter for quite some time. But, I was always put off by the cost. I’m a very frugal person, so paying more than $50 for a planter is just not in my budget. So, I figured out a way to DIY my own Face Planter.

Tea Time Art Print
In the last few years I have developed an obsession love with everything English, I think the term is Anglophile. I love watching old, black and white Sherlock Holmes movies, reading Agatha Christie books, collecting English china and linens, and of course drinking tea. It’s not tea time everyday, but most days it is and thanks to You Tube, I’ve learned how to make a proper cup of tea. So, you can bet that love is going to show up in my art…
Time For Love Art Journal Page
It may be the middle of Winter, but I have some soft Spring colors on my mind with this Time For Love Art Journal Page. It’s wonderful layers of paper, paint, modeling paste, gesso and pen.
Merry Christmas Art Journal Page
Christmas seems to have come much sooner than usual this year. I barely put the Halloween decorations away and now we’re prepping for Christmas dinner!
But, I did manage to get in the studio and create a frosty inspired art journal page. Considering the temperature here in Phoenix is in the upper 60’s, frosty is not something we get often.
Braver, Stronger, Smarter Original Canvas
The Winnie the Pooh series of books has some of the most heart warming quotes you will ever find. A.A. Milne gave all these characters wisdom and love that has been shared with millions of children. One of my favorite quotes is Christopher Robin telling Winnie the Pooh how brave, strong and smart he is and that they would always be together.
Wings Art Journal Page
It’s been a while since I was in my studio and getting my hands dirty. But, today I got back in there and created this wings art journal page. I needed to remind myself how therapeutic creating art can be and it was very nice to be creating again.
Birthday Card with Distress Inks & Stencils
Do you need to make a quick birthday card? I have a go-to method of making a card that looks colorful, unique and like you spent all day creating. I combine some patterned The Crafter’s Workshop stencils with vibrant Tim Holtz Distress Inks on a mixed media card and mission accomplished! I’m also sharing this tutorial over at Bella Crafts Publishing blog.
A Time For Love Art Journal Page
We’re half way through the year, about to start a new month and time to create a new journal page. So many things going on in the world right now that can cause a person to feel fearful, confused and uncertain. As a woman of faith I was compelled to create something hopeful and happy. I truly believe that Love always overcomes hate and right now it’s a Time for Love.
Trust Art Journal Page
This is a bittersweet blog post for me. It is my last project for The Crafter’s Workshop Design Team. I can’t believe the year has flown by. I have met so many creative people and I’m so grateful to their corporate office for the support they’ve given me. I truly love these stencils and will continue using them.
