Christmas Tags

I love creating a handmade Christmas for my family and friends.  Whether it’s a gift, card or Christmas tags.  Today I’m sharing with you how I created 4 quick and easy tags that I will use for presents for my family.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

Here’s the supplies I used for this project for The Crafter’s Workshop Design Team

  1.   I first painted a layer of gesso on each manila tag to get them ready for painting.  I painted each one a different color and dried them with my heat gun.

2.   This tag was painted with Wisteria acrylic paint and then I used the Hex and Flowers stencil sprayed with Tattered Angels Icicle Blue.  If you spray too close and too much, you can get a lot of pooling of the mist.  So, hold the bottle back about 10″ and spray lightly.  Carefully lift the stencil and dry with heat gun.  This gave a soft and intricate background.

3.   I then applied metallic paint with the Twigs and Berries stencil,  some distress ink around the edges and stamped a message of ’tis the season.

4.   A variation of this tag using the Twigs and Berries stencil is using it with a gold marker on the metallic painted tag.  This one is super simple, but gives a classic Holiday look.

Some ribbons add the finishing touch to these festive Christmas tags.

  1.  For this more traditional style tag, I used all the elements of the Pine Cones stencil with acrylic paint in Antique Teal, Raw Umber and Heritage Brick.

2.  I love using this Pico Embellisher for writing messages.  You really have to be careful in how much pressure you use when squeezing, but the results are wonderful.

1.The final tag was created with spraying Dylusions spray ink on a tag that was painted with Driftwood.  I laid the Rhonda Fragments ornament first and then flipped it over for an impression on the tag with the ink that was on the fragment.  I had a lot of pooling of ink, but I dried it with the heat gun and got a great marbled effect.

Aren’t they lovely?  They’re all different as are the recipients of each tag.  This is a great way to customize a Christmas tag for your presents.

Thanks so much for visiting friends!  Want some more Christmas tags tuturial?, check these out.
