Every now and then I feel doubt creeping in and wondering am I on the right path, the right journey. To help me through that self doubt I turn to my art journal and write it out.
I had this page already started with circles made from left over paint. I got out my oil pastels, since I hadn’t used them in a while, and added some bright colors.
I then started writing words on the stems. Words like seek, dream, grow, spirit, explore and creative journey. Within the circle flowers I wrote a brief statement of what I need to do to keep moving forward.

This process was really helpful. I realized my journey isn’t about having a big business or making a lot of money, it was about creating and inspiring other people with my art. Specifically other women that have gone through or in a difficult journey. Let them know that there is a destination and to trust the journey.
