Fall Decorating Ideas

The temperature outside may still be in the 80’s here in Central Florida, but I’ve got Fall decor on my mind. I usually don’t go all out with orange pumpkins and leaf garland everywhere. I try to keep it simple and with muted colors.

The decor items I have are from my apartment, so needless to say I have only a few. Not enough certainly to decorate a home. I did get a few items from Dollar General of all places! But, they have really surprised me lately with their Home Decor and quality. This tall vase I purchased for $10 only and I have it on my entryway desk. The flowers and picks are also from Dollar General. This vase can easily be transformed to match any season. The little painted pumpkins I’ve had for years and give this little vignette the Autumn vibe I’m looking for.

Tucked next to this thrifted lamp are some pumpkins that I’ve also had a long time. The muted yellow, ivory and blues are perfect for a simple Autumn decor.

Moving onto the dining room, the simple decorating rule continues. Kohls was recently having a great clearance sale online and I picked up a few items. This woven table runner can be used from Fall right through to Winter. The wicker round tray holds the little bird cage I got at Hobby Lobby years ago. I change out what I put in it, right now it has some mini pumpkins. Also from Kohls, I got this ceramic pitcher with a peonies arrangement already in it. My vintage books and teacup are the perfect vintage match.

Recently, I’ve really been into decorating tiered trays for whatever season it may be. This enamalware tray is on our breakfast nook table. All of these items are ones I already had or from the Target Dollar Spot.

In my corner hutch, I have a shelf with vintage plates that all have Autumn design or colors. That’s what links them all together.

This adorable little truck is from Kohls also. I stenciled a leaf and pattern on it to customize it. The mini pumpkins completed it. These are in the little cubby holes of our entertainment unit.

The only place I have orange is on my front door.

Have you started decorating for Fall yet? Do you go all out and put decor everywhere or do you keep it simple like me? Let me know down in the comments section. Thanks for stopping by friends!
