This floral acrylics collection was inspired by two of my favorite historic artists, Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh. They each had a love of flowers and it showed in their work.
I’ve been wanting to do a floral vase collection for quite a while. So much of my work is started with layers of paper in collage, but this collection was all acrylic paint. Now, I did add some modeling paste or crackle paste to add some dimension to a couple of pieces.
You can see the script stencil I used with modeling paste and acrylic paint on this journal page that is now an art print.
White Shasta Daisies are probably one of the best symbols of Spring. These daisies in a cup are a bit more abstract style for me, but I’m loving the way they came out. This print is a reproduction of a journal page. The original I have now framed in my front sitting room, but I could easily put it in a kitchen decor or bedroom.
The next canvas I created is a different size of 12″ x 16″. Not too small and not too big. This piece is soft pastels of yellow, pink, orange, lavender and greens with a shabby chic feel to it.
I’ve also created a smaller version original art. These 5″ x 7″ canvas boards are all acrylic paint and are ready for framing. They’re perfect size for the kitchen, den, creative space or bedroom.
These pieces are all now available in my Etsy shop for your viewing pleasure.
If you’re a fan of Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh like I am, then I invite you to follow along on my Pinterest boards…
