I love making cards for my family and friends. Today my son turns 20 years old and as he gets older the design of cards gets more difficult. Long gone are the cute little cards with cartoon animals or the number of his age.
For this card I started with a 140 lb watercolor card, added acrylic paint with a card, a stamp with archival ink and mixed some modeling paste with one of the acrylic paints to use with an Artistcellar stencil. I then added a piece of scrapbook paper that looked like metal with the birthday sentiment stamped.
Time really does fly! Here he is only 5 months old on his first Christmas.
This picture was taken a few months ago, but he looks very much the same. He may be a man now, but he’s still my little boy. One of the things I treasure about him is that he tells me “I love you” every morning when he leaves for work and every night when he goes to bed. Isn’t that the sweetest?
Thanks so much for visiting with me today and letting me get sentimental!
