It’s been a busy month!

Yes, I know I’ve been missing in action lately and it’s been weighing on me!  But, I have a very good reason to be taking some time off.  This month of May has been a busy month for my family with my daughter graduating high school and turning 18!

It’s been a month of blessings and gratitude also.  4 years ago I was sitting at my son’s high school graduation, still going through chemotherapy, and praying to God that I would be here to see my daughter graduate also.  He answers prayers!  I’m still in remission and I was there to celebrate with my baby girl.

The day after graduation, she turned 18 years old!  We had a wonderful family and friends celebration for her and she’s still catching up on sleep and rest.

She has plans now to go to community college and get a degree as a Veterinary Technician.

I’ve been busy in the garden also trying to get plants in the ground and established before the Summer heat sets in.  I really have an obsession now with succulents and have put quite a few of them in my shade garden.  This blooming Rock Purslane has incredibly vibrant blooms.

I love using broken pots and plates in the garden to add whimsy and also to help hold small succulents in place until their roots get a hold.

This old terra cotta frog planter has been with me for years.  It’s lost most of the paint my daughter painted on it when she was 8 years old, but it’s a perfect home for these new succulents.

I’ll be getting back in the studio this month and creating more.  I’m glad I took a break from my business and have a new sense of creativity.

The new June desktop calendar is now available for the subscribers to my Friends and Collectors List, are you on the list?
