Did I mention the
obsession love I have had for Lotus flowers in meadows? Well, it’s definitely manifesting itself in my art recently with several canvases. Perhaps it’s because this beautiful flowers emerges within a murky pond and stands out among the foliage. It’s also a symbol of purity and beauty within the Buddhist and Hinduism faiths.
There are several colors for this flower, white being the most common. This 12″ x 12″ canvas has 3 flowers and a wonderful drippage effect for a rainy pond setting.
These two Lotus flowers are detailed with charcoal pencil for a more folk art feel.
But, pink is actually considered the supreme Lotus in Buddhism. This 12″ x 12″ gallery wrapped canvas has budding pink Lotus flowers.
This is my favorite of the collection, this teal haired girl is mesmerizing and mysterious.
Thanks so much for visiting with me and please come back soon, since I will be creating note cards from some of these creations!
