I have a quick Merry and Bright art journal page for you today…
I wanted to do a Holiday theme page and I found this one in my journal. It’s a page I used over time to apply extra paint and paste from another project. I thought it was the perfect start for what I had in mind. I had already used some stencils here as you can see, Dylusions Letter Jumble and Trillium from the Kaleidoscope set.
I used the circles from the Balzer Designs Aboriginal stencil with DecoArt Media’s Crackle Paste for more dimension and a snowflake scene.
On the bottom of the page I used Crafter’s Workshop wood grain stencil.
Tamara LaPorte’s Hearts and Stars stencil is one of my favorites and I use it often. Here I added some stars with Prussian Blue paint.
I hand wrote Merry and Bright with Faber Castell Big Brush marker and Uniball Signo
I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but I’m happy with it and it only took me a few minutes. I love it when things work out that way!
