Spring time always brings Paris to my mind. This week I’ve created some Paris inspired mixed media tags with DecoArt Media Line. But, I wanted to use some colors that are not necessarily Spring colors.
I started out with this stash of supplies and I wanted to add color, texture and try out my brand new Andy Skinner stencils!
The base of colors on the #10 tags were Americana Acrylic Bahama Blue and Honey Brown.
This new Andy Skinner stencil Shredded is 12″ x 3″, it’s a perfect size for tags. I sprayed the first tag with Media Line Shimmer Mister in Turquoise and then laid the stencil on the other tag to get the ghost image.
I love these Tim Holtz Distress Ink round applicators, they are so much better than the originals. I used the Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Salty Ocean to fill in the spaces that the paint or mister didn’t get and also on the edges.
I also added one last element to this tag. I had a stash of Gina’s Designs texture sheets. I cut a small piece from the hearts sheet and gave it some color the Memento Rich Cocoa.
For the second tag, I mixed Media Line’s Modeling Paste and Fluid Acrylic Gold Metallic to use with Andy Skinner’s Whirlpool stencil. I love this stencil! I’m using it on other projects and it’s so versatile with texture paste or just paint.
The French Elements Stencil provided another Paris word with Americana Acrylics Blue Haze Light.
I’m always making tags like this to send out with some of my orders.
I love my new Andy Skinner stencils! I’m so happy how these tags came out too.
Thanks so much for visiting and definitely come back again to see what I’ve created next!
