Working with watercolors has become one of my favorite mediums lately. So many variations of the same color by adding more or less water, it’s really amazing!
This cactus flower card was inspired by my own little cactus that bloomed two beautiful and vibrant flowers one morning. I knew I had to try and capture that beauty before it was gone.
I also like working with stamps and watercolors. This lovely dress on a dress form stamp is by Unity Stamp, as is the sentiment stamped next to it.
If you’re familiar with my work, you know that I have a love (ok, obsession) with sunflowers. I use them often in my art and grow them in my garden. So, it was only a matter of time that I created one in watercolor. This card was created with a youtube tutorial by The Frugal Crafter, Lindsay. I love her channel and get lots of inspiration and lessons there.
These lovelies will be sent out to special family and friends, with the 5″ x 7″ size of the card, they can easily be framed and kept as art.
Thanks so much for visiting today friends! Just a quick reminder, my July newsletter will be going out next week and I’ve got some wonderful things planned (Christmas in July, hint, hint). I will also be giving a free downloadable print, but it’s only going to be available to newsletter subscribers, so click here to sign up!

Carmen, you captured the beauty of your cactus so well. I have tinkered in water coloring slightly and find it to be very fun! Love the dress form and sunflower too! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
