Summer Of Color week 3

The weeks are flying by for the Summer of Color! I’m really enjoying the color prompts that Kristin from Twinkle, Twinkle Like a Star is giving us.  There are some truly amazing and talented artists participating, definitely stop and check them out.

This week it’s Lavender, Gray and a splash of Plum.  What a great combination!

This week I decided to do a couple of tags.  I used #8 manila tags.  This one I adhered a gelli plate print I had of a vintage music sheet with the plum color, perfect!  The butterfly was a lovely lavender and a cut out from a greeting card I received from my pen pal.  The chipboard flower was highlighted with a white signo pen and some Americana acrylic paint on the edges finished it off.  The ribbon tie is from my stash of trims.  Can you tell that I rarely throw anything away?  I always find a use for it.

This tag was first covered with gesso and then Americana paints used with stencils to create the background.  This sweet little girl is from an ephemera sheet from Paper Wings Productions and trimmed with some lace.  A chipboard heart painted in plum and detailed with white pen.

I’m loving how these turned out!  Make sure you check out both week 1 and 2 creations here.

As always, thank you so much for visiting with me!

Your tags are some of the best SOC art I’ve seen this week. That was a difficult combination. I think it would have been easier if it had been plum and gray with a touch of lavender.
