Every month I create a special journal page that I use for my free desktop calendar. It’s a free downloadable calendar that I send to all my Friends and Collectors. The February Calendar Page has a heart theme of course. What else could it possibly be for the month we celebrate St. Valentine!

Merry Christmas Art Journal Page
Christmas seems to have come much sooner than usual this year. I barely put the Halloween decorations away and now we’re prepping for Christmas dinner!
But, I did manage to get in the studio and create a frosty inspired art journal page. Considering the temperature here in Phoenix is in the upper 60’s, frosty is not something we get often.
October Calendar Page
October is almost here and the crispness in the air is starting to come out in the early mornings. It’s a wonderful feeling after a long hot summer. The first day of Fall seems like it’s a starting marker for changes in landscape colors, stores bring out all the Holiday decor and there’s pumpkin latte’s everywhere. Well, I’ve got my own pumpkin in the October Calendar page.
Postage Paid Art Journal Page
Hi friends! I’m sharing with you today an art journal page I created as a team member of The Crafter’s Workshop Design Team. I am a lover of vintage postcards, scripts, letters, basically anything to do with mail. Stop by their blog and take a look at the stencils I used to create this wonderful page.
But, make sure you come back here and visit often for more inspiration!

Whimsy Garden Tree Art Journal Page
This week’s Whimsy Garden Tree art journal page was inspired by my dear cousin who is a Breast Cancer survivor. She went through Chemo treatment at the same time I did for Ovarian Cancer and our relationship and bond as cousins became even closer. I wanted to create a page that showed the courage she showed, which was as strong as a tree.
New Art and some paintmojo
Lately I’ve been follow Tracy Verdugo and her worldly adventures as she teaches her Paint Mojo workshops. She has really inspired me to try some new techniques and I definitely plan on taking her ecourse of Paint Mojo when it starts in September. But, here is what I’ve been up to lately…
Red + Red + Metallic – SOC Week #4
Our Summer of Color continues with week #4 and a combination that I’m not too accustomed to using. Red + Red + Metallic is the challenge for this week. I will admit I’m not a big metallic user, although I have metallic paints, markers and even pastes, I simply don’t use them on a regular basis. So, this week I’m excited to create something new and unique.
Purple + Purple + Yellow – Summer of Color Week #3
I’m continuing on with the Summer of Color challenge and we’re already at week #3! This week we’re going with a royal, or perhaps Mardi Gras look, with…
Purple + Purple + Yellow
I used the purple watercolor pencil to draw the face and then activated the color with a water brush. The rest of the page (140 lb. watercolor paper) was created with a mix of watercolor mediums. I really love the drip effect, it seems like she is behind a veil of tears.
Hope you enjoyed the page and I’m linking this to the Summer of Color challenge, and the Art Journal Journey. So stop by those blogs to check out some incredible talent.
