Christmas is my favorite holiday and my busiest time for my business with all the craft shows and boutiques. So, in preparation for that, I’ve already started increasing my inventory and making Christmas themed items for the season’s shows. This will be my first season showcasing my new love and obsession of mixed media canvases, but some wonderful treasures will also be returning; vintage teacups, altered frames and decoupaged crosses.
This year is seems like Christmas is just coming so fast and there doesn’t seem to be enough time to do all the decorating and shopping. A bit overwhelming for me, so this year I’ve decided to keep it simple, minimalist almost.
It’s December and time to get the Christmas decorations up and the lights strung. I enjoy taking my time putting the ornaments and decorations out, I don’t like to rush through it. I also like to change things up a little each year. I never stray too far from my love of the traditional red, green and vintage decor, but I like to use them in different ways and locations each year. Today I’m sharing my faux fireplace mantel decor (remember I don’t have a real fireplace so I use my entertainment unit). The centerpiece this year is this button Christmas tree in a frame that I made last year.
