Do you need to make a quick birthday card? I have a go-to method of making a card that looks colorful, unique and like you spent all day creating. I combine some patterned The Crafter’s Workshop stencils with vibrant Tim Holtz Distress Inks on a mixed media card and mission accomplished! I’m also sharing this tutorial over at Bella Crafts Publishing blog.
It’s been a long hot summer here in Phoenix and I’m anxious for the cool crispness of Autumn to arrive. I think that’s why I selected the earthy colors in this palette. The muted greens, golds, reds and blues that are found in the woods during that time of Autumn changes.
Thanksgiving is a time for family, visits and gatherings, but what will you be taking to these gatherings? Today I will show you 4 wonderful tags to attach to a hostess gift basket or a bottle of wine. They can make the gift even more special.
Do you send Fall or Thanksgiving cards? They’re not nearly as popular as Holiday cards, but sometimes they can have much more meaning. Being thankful to someone who has done something above and beyond for you, or simply letting someone know you’re thinking of them.
It’s almost Halloween! Can you believe it? Both of my kids are grown and I don’t do the Halloween thing as much as when they were little. Now, I decorate more with Fall decorations, but I did have an urge today to create some spooky ATC cards. I love layering stencils to create unique backgrounds. Here I created 3 different cards all with different stencils.
My first show for the season is coming up on Saturday October 18th. I’m busy getting my inventory ready, but I’m also adding new things for my display this year. I’m always looking for items that can do double duty for me, i.e. storage and display. This vintage suit case that I picked up at a flea market is perfect to carry some of my journals and note cards and then display them during the show. You know me, I’m all about vintage and re-purposing.

I’ve created an art journal page and tried to capture the many shades in this wonderful color with a garden scene of Purple Cone Flowers and a little purple birdie. And a message to always Count Your blessings.
Our Christmas Art in July celebration is almost over and I couldn’t let it end without creating a canvas with some seasonal art. But, this time I’m not using my art journal or a canvas. I’ve been given the opportunity to use a repurposed piece of pallet wood from Redeemwood.
