Yes, I know we have about a month until Valentine’s Day, but I’ve been at work creating my Valentine Hearts Collection for a while and I’m ready to share them with you.
I had a pack of lovely paper heart doilies that are perfect for collaging and mixed media. They gave each piece a vintage feel whether I was using a walnut ink spray or distress ink.
I’ve also been influenced by some of my favorite American poets. Emily Dickenson’s Forever is Composed of Nows inspired this vintage piece. I love her message of celebrating the everyday and not letting a moment go to waste.
Forever — is composed of Nows —
‘Tis not a different time —
Except for Infiniteness —
And Latitude of Home —
From this — experienced Here —
Remove the Dates — to These —
Let Months dissolve in further Months —
And Years — exhale in Years —
Without Debate — or Pause —
Or Celebrated Days —
No different Our Years would be
From Anno Domini’s —
Not to long ago I shared with you my love of e.e. cummings poem and the canvas I created to showcase it.
i carry your heart – original canvas
You can really see the doily paper in this vintage heart canvas. The details are highlighted by walnut ink spray.
I also created one piece with a steampunk influence titled “Key to my Heart”.
The originals of these next canvases have sold, but fortunately I do have prints available in each.
Remember it’s not too early to get the one you love something special for Valentine’s Day.
