Vintage Christmas Decor

I have to confess that I’ve had my Christmas decor up since the first week of November!  I know that’s early, but I want to enjoy them longer than 3 or 4 weeks.  I love combining my vintage collections with new and old Christmas decor.

I didn’t let the fact I’m living in a small apartment stop me from decorating and using all the things that I love.  I wanted to decorate the front “porch” like I usually did.  This wooden snowman and tree stand I’ve had for a few years and I got it at Goodwill.  It’s handmade by someone and I think that’s the charm about it.  Even the gnome miniature garden got some snow trees.

This small wreath was created using all Dollar Tree items and cost only $7.00.

I had a small space to work with this year and this slim pre-lit tree from Michael’s fits perfectly.  I love the way it looks.  We even decorated our faux fireplace with stockings and garland.

The two ceramic santas I’ve had for almost 20 years.  They are so special to me and I hope to pass them on to my kids.  The galvanized olive bucket is from target and the poinsettias from Hobby Lobby.  I used a table runner from Target to add some more texture to the mantle.

The stocking string art is a very special piece for me.  This was created by my talented niece and she has an Etsy shop called Strings by Jen with some amazing designs.  The snowman art is actually a Dollar Tree gift bag that I cut up and then decoupaged to an mdf board.  Using gift bags, whether framed or decoupaged, is an easy way to be creative and have unique holiday art work.  The galvanized cross is from Hobby Lobby.

On my coffee table I have my vintage linen table runner with a vintage pewter tray that was a fantastic Goodwill find.  It’s a small tray so I only added some vintage books, a little ceramic angel and a milk glass goblet holding red ornaments.  The ceramic Christmas tree is from Hobby Lobby, but it is the first in my ceramic tree collection that I’m starting.

The dining room table has two runners from Target that also double as place mats.  The galvanized charger I used for my Fall home decor remained as did the candle pillar. A twig sleigh from Hobby Lobby holds ornaments, pine cones, acorns and a bottle brush tree.  The twig tree on the spool was made by my friend Karen at Starshine Salon.

My dining room wall is my favorite space to decorate for the holidays or any season.  I have some artwork that I leave up all the time and just change out the center section.  It’s always a combination of my artwork and vintage plates and cups.

This vintage wreath made of toys and ornaments is very special.  It was created by my friend Shirley from Artsy Fartsy Fairy (what a great name!).  She’s very talented.

I’ve moved many of my indoor plants onto my balcony because the weather has been so mild here.  That freed up space for my little Christmas village, ceramic soldiers and decorative gift boxes.  The little red sled and bottle brush tree are from Target’s Dollar Spot, so cute!  My latest milk glass find is this large pedestal bowl and it’s now hold festive ornaments and pine cones.

Have you started decorating for Christmas yet?  What theme are you going for this year?
