Vintage Wedding Ideas Pt. 1 – Teacup Candles and Frames

I thought I would share with you something a little different today and start a new weekly series.  We’ve all been sharing and looking at so much Fall decor and recipes, that sometimes you need something to cleanse the pallet.Wedding season is approaching here in Arizona, as the weather cools, the brides and grooms start the celebrations.  If I were to ever marry again I would definitely have a vintage themed wedding.  So many ways you can incorporate chippy, old, rusty, antique and vintage treasures into your special day.  It’s Vintage Charm has created this beautiful vintage wedding vignette to inspire you for your ceremony, reception, or bridal shower.

I’ve added some pieces to the display also, like this blue door hanger with lace trim and paper flowers.  The back says “do not disturb”.

I also created these decoupaged frames with beautiful lace trim, chiffon and paper flowers and pearl trim.  These frames are also available for custom order, contact me at vintagecreationsbycw@cox.net for more information.

I created this mixed media 4″ x 12″ deep edge canvas and it’s now part of this vignette at It’s Vintage Charm.
The hearts are made of vintage inspired scrapbook paper, on layers of vintage book pages.  It makes a different and unique wedding gift.

Candles are always a way to create the mood and ambiance of your reception.  But, it can also be a way of using vintage family teacups for table decor.  Personalize them even more with your favorite scent and color.  If you have smaller cups such as demitasse or espresso cups you can use them as guest favors.  It’s a very unique favor and one they can actually re-use.   You can visit my Etsy shop for more teacup candle ideas and to purchase.

Teacup Candelabra is perfect for reception tables.

Love the ideas of turning teacups into candles. They are so easy to find at thrift shops…maybe I’ll have to try this sometime. Found you from the Open House Party Thursday link party from No Minimalist Here.

Carmen, I too love anything vintage and chippy! I just helped with a friends sons wedding brunch. We made floral arrangements in carnival glass teacups. Her colors were purple and salmon. It was a beautiful Fall themed event. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
    Jann
