Vintage Wedding Ideas Pt. 4 – Bouquets and Jewelry

Vintage jewelry is making such a come back now that you can go to a thrift store and find beautiful pieces to incorporate into your vintage wedding.   But, brooches and earrings aren’t just for wearing, they can now be used in your bouquet for a truly unique look.

This vintage necklace was customized with a picture of a family wedding portrait.  Now that’s one of a kind!
But you can make yours unique also by using your grandmother’s brooch or clip earrings onto a strand of pearls.  This could be your something borrowed and/or old.
This bouquet is one you can actually make yourself with buttons, flowers, brooches and earrings all wired together and some lace embellishment.

Here is an example of one with silk flowers with brooches for the center.  Not as cluttered or full as using all brooches, but still a wonderful impact with the satin ribbon.

If you don’t want the crystal brooch look, you can do a 1950’s brooch bouquet that has more color and is perfect for a retro vintage wedding.

This Cloche style headpiece has a brooch and embellishments through out for a 1920’s look.

And don’t forget the groom!  Here this boutineer matches the wedding colors and is made fuller with the flowers.  Wonderful way to tie the whole wedding party look together.

This is a beautiful bride that brings it all together with the cameo necklace, belt and bouquet.

So, if you want to use your family heirloom jewelry this is the perfect way to do it and your bouquet will never wilt or dry out like natural flowers.
