Spring has been blooming for a little while now here in Phoenix. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous and I linger on these days when the Summer is just around the corner. All of this inspired me to create a new floral collection in watercolors. One of those pieces I used for the March Calendar.
Watercolor art is a wonderful way to liven up your home decor for Spring. All of the flowers in my collection are very much Spring. Tulips, cone flowers, poppies, sunflowers and roses are in just about every Spring garden.
I think these would look wonderful in just about any room in a home; bedroom, bathroom, den or creative space.
Each of them has a little bit of an abstract look to them. I didn’t want them super detailed or realistic, I was going for a more whimsy, abstract feel.
This collection is available in both 8″ x 10″ and 11″ x 14″ prints in my shop. They are perfect as a Mother’s day gift, confirmation gift or graduation gift. Or better yet, a treat for yourself to spruce up your own home.
The March desktop calendar is available to subscribers of my Friends and Collector’s list. Those lucky folks receive a new calendar every month, plus special discounts.
I’ve been working on my watercolor techniques lately and taking lessons from Yao Cheng, who is an incredible artist. Her classes are offered on Creative Bug, they offer a 14 day free trial too!
Thanks so much friends for visiting!
