The seasons are changing from Fall to Winter soon and I’m continuing my series of original canvases with this Winter Frost Girl Canvas. The Autumn Hues Girl found her home quickly after being finished and is now happily living in Tennessee. The collector loved her so much that she commissioned me to create a seasonal series of the same size and theme.
The first layer was a variety of very cool blues and metallic silver to create a frosty scene.
Using various The Crafter’s Workshop stencils and Americana Acrylics I created the second layer in the background.
Then the frost girl started to emerge in a silver and blue hue. She also has shadows of other girls in a faint grey around her. Modeling paste in a french blue is added with a script stencil.
I gave her some more details with a couple of my favorite markers, Molotow acrylic marker in white and Pilot Silver Marker in extra fine point
. I decided to add a flower scene and it appears that she is coming out of the lotus flower.
This canvas is a great size at 18″ wide by 24 ” height. The modeling paste give the canvas wonderful dimension and texture. I sprayed some Tattered Angels mist at the top and let it drip down through the texture.
You can see throughout the canvas the hidden shadow girls that are peeking out.
Here she is in all her beauty and frostyness! I am so pleased with how she came out and I do think that she exudes the winter coolness and feel.
She will soon be carefully wrapped, boxed and then shipped to her new owner in Tennessee. So, the next season up is Spring! I can’t wait to get started on her, I think I see a flower burst for that one!

She’s absolutely beautiful!
